Any NEMAA member entering the BMAF Cross Country Championships in North Wales on March 16th will automatically represent NEMAA in the EMAA inter area competition. It’s ok to wear your own club vest.
So if you're hesitating to get your entries in, do it!
While lots of NEMAA members were slogging it out around the Rising Sun Country Park on Saturday at the NEMAA XC Champs (with huge thanks to Heaton Harriers for all their fantastic organisation, in particular George Routledge), further south another race was going on. The BMAF 10k Road Champs took place at Chichester, and while NEMAA only had one representative in the race, she did us proud. Maxine Minchella from South Shields Harriers was fifth F60 (out of 27 in her age group), in a very competitive race, well done Maxine! Full results HERE
Results from today's XC Championships are now available on our results page, thank you for taking part!
NEMAA are in urgent need of marshals for the upcoming cross country championships. If members of your club have entered and you're going along to cheer them on, how about doing it from a marshalling position while you're there? You don't even need to be supporting anyone in particular, just come along anyway and we'll give you a jazzy yellow vest to wear for a couple of hours - any offers of help will be greatly appreciated, please contact George Routledge via his email Thank you in advance!
Entries can be made via the Race Entries area of the club shop (you can also renew your membership via the shop if you haven't already!) Closing date is Sunday 28th January. NO ENTRY ON THE DAY. Please ask your clubmates to contact George Routledge if they would like to help marshal the event.
Following on from the success of last season's Nuneaton outing, NEMAA are sending a team to the Lee Valley Indoor Track and Field Champs on Sunday 25th February. If you would like to be considered for the team, please complete the application form linked HERE. You will then receive an invoice for a refundable £20 deposit (to be repaid if you compete on the day, or are not chosen for the team).
This is an open competition so you don't even need to be a member of NEMAA to win a medal - make sure your club are aware and get them to get their entries in!
