Entries are now open for the 5,000m (inc. Eric Appleby trophy) and 10,000m championships. Women may enter the 10,000m championships but there is a strict 1 hour cut-off. Timetable TBC but first race likely to start at 12pm.

Competition Dates: 11 – 13 September 2026, Moorways, Derby
This event will be held over 3 full days. It will include all the events that used to be incorporated in the timetable in the ‘older days’ together with an additional 3000m. There will also be heats and finals in both the 100m and 200m. In order to do this and meet licensing regulations/restrictions the event has to take place over 3 days. Only athletes aged 35 and older can enter this event. You also need to be registered with UKA or be an overseas visitor. Medals will be issued per event/age category. No standards required. If you have a current BMAF area club membership (with 2 or more memberships, you can choose which one to represent), you will automatically receive the discounted price as follows: BMAF Members Non Members First event £27.00 £32.00 Subsequent events £15.00 £20.00 Overseas visitors without a UKA registration should enter their national team code and their entry will then be confirmed. The Relay is open to all masters who are UKA registered first claim members of the club for which they are competing (non-NEMAA members are welcome). The race HQ is at Jarrow & Hebburn AC Clubhouse at Monkton Stadium Jarrow, Tyne & Wear, NE32 5NJ. There will be two races in which teams of three runners compete, each runner will complete 2 laps each of approximately 1.5km on tarmac paths around Bedeswell Park/Campbell Park. Please park responsibly at or around Monkton Stadium or future use of the venue could be jeopardised. There is lots of free parking along both sides of York Avenue on the approach to the stadium. There is a combined limit 450 for the two races. Race 1 6.30pm Women 35 & over, Men over 65 Race 2 7.15pm (approx) Men 35 – 64 Awards Race 1 First three teams F35-44 F45-54 F55+ Men 65+ Race 2 First three teams M35-44 M45-54 M55+ Entry fee £15.00 per team of three runners. Clubs may enter more than one team in an age band. Down-aging is permitted in accordance with the BMAF rules, each club must adhere to these rules or risk disqualification. Teams must be declared at least 15 minutes before each race with names and actual ages on the day specified on the official team entry sheet. Entries close Friday 01 May 2026. All interested parties must return the application form by 28th January, insufficient interest may result in a team not being sent.
