Medals will be awarded to the 1st three individuals in each five-year age category. Entries from 1st claim athletes registered with UKA clubs only.
Medals will be presented to the 1st three teams, men and women, in 10-year age groups - 35 to 44, 45 to 54, 55 to 64, 65 to 74, 75+
Down-ageing only permitted if there are not enough natural age group runners in the 10-year age groups. Composite teams MUST be declared by Friday March 17th at 7pm. Last minute changes only allowed up to 11.30am on March 18th.
Collect your race number and age-category number on the day from the registration desk at the race headquarters. The terrain is on grassland around the Rising Sun Hill,Wallsend, near Newcastle upon Tyne. The area was landscaped after the Rising Sun Colliery was closed in 1969, within the Rising Sun Country Park. Videos of the course used for previous NEMAA XC and videos of previous BMAF XC Championships can be seen on youtube.com/georgeroutledge...Spectators might want to start the day competing in the Rising Sun parkrun at 9am. Please note :- there is no vehicle access to the cross country course from the parkrun course at the Country Park Centre or Asda car park.
