RACE 1: 12.15 – Women 35 & Over and Men 65 & Over (approx 3.5 miles – 2 laps)
RACE 2: 1.15 – Men 35-64 (approx 5.25 miles – 3 laps)
Parking and changing at and near the sports ground. Registration at Barking Dog pub lounge, inside the Sports Ground.
NEMAA Championship awards to the first three individuals in each 5 year age group.
Team awards for the first 3 teams (3 to count) in 10 year age groups (no team entry necessary):
Race 1: F35-44, F45-54, F55+, M65 Race 2: M35-44, M45-54, M55-64.
Directions: from A1058 Coast Road(eastbound) exit onto A186 Station Road roundabout – take the 2nd exit on to Malton Gardens which continues as Kings Road North the Race HQ is at the top on the right.
Directions: from Coast Road(westbound) take the Wallsend exit before Station Road roundabout – turn right – turn right, left and then 2nd right at junction to Kings Road North. Race HQ is on the right at the top.
The Championship is open to all Masters who are First Claim members of the club for which they are competing and who qualify for the Championships by residence or birth in the counties of Northumberland, Durham, Tyne & Wear or Cleveland (non-NEMAA members and non-championship guests welcome).
NEMAA is run by a very small committee and relies on extra help at some events. It would be greatly appreciated if clubs could provide volunteers to marshal this championship. If you are to help out please contact George Routledge.
Entry for paid-up NEMAA members £5.00 non-members £8.00 payable to NEMAA.

TEAM SELECTION - IMPORTANT NOTE. IF YOU HAVE AT LEAST THREE ATHLETES IN THE SAME AGE GROUP, YOU DO NOT NEED TO DECLARE, AS THE FASTEST THREE WILL AUTOMATICALLY FORM A TEAM.
Full rules and pre-declaration forms for composite age teams will be available at race HQ. All declarations must be received before the start of the race. The entry lists will be sorted into age categories and club groups, so you can easily see who else has entered from your own club and decide on any teams you wish to submit.

MPORTANT NOTE:- You cannot override a natural age group team if one exists in your team. Please read the rules carefully on the declaration form (also shown above) before making your submission.

- A runner can only drop down to a lower age group if there are insufficient runners in that age group to make up a team, and doing so does not split up an existing age group team.
- The age group of a team will be the age group of the youngest member of that team.
- All runners actual age groups should be recorded on the team declaration form.
- Mixed or composite teams other than those described above are not permitted.
- A runner’s individual performance will only be recognised if they compete in a race containing their age group.
- If there is no natural age group team in your club and you do not pre-declare, you will NOT be included in the team scores, even if you have a composite age group team.
