2022 Subscriptions and Renewals were proposed by the Committee to be £25.00 if paid after January 31st 2022 . Subscriptions for brand new members is £15.00 throughout the whole year. You can pay on line at our "NEMAA SHOP" on our website. You may also send a cheque/order or cash for £25 / £15 Payable to “ North East Masters Athletics Association“ to:- Membership Secretary, George Routledge, 5 St Hildas Avenue, Holy Cross, Wallsend, Tyne & Wear NE28 7AB . Email George if you wish to pay by bank transfer. If you are posting a cheque or cash for subs - please also include your Blue or Yellow Membership Card - so that it can be signed - and a stamped addressed envelope for its return.
There's no need to post your Membership Card if you've paid online. It can be signed later at one of our events. Please notify George if you change your club, your address or email address and if you wish to receive the newsletter by email in the future. The Committee would like to encourage all masters (veterans) who have NEVER been a member of the Masters Association – in its present or past form – to join NEMAA for only £15. This rate is only for brand new first time members who have never joined NEMAA or VAANEE in the past.

The 2022 NEMAA AGM was held on Monday 17th January 2022 at The Lindisfarne Social Club lounge, West Street, Wallsend ,Tyne & Wear NE27 8LG at 7pm.Nominations for Officers and Committee members and items for discussion were sent to NEMAA Secretary Archie Jenkins two weeks prior to the AGM.Our full quota of Officers and Committee were elected for 2022.
NEMAA CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS 2022
The NEMAA Cross Country Championships in 2022 was organized by Heaton Harriers on Saturday 5th February 2022 at Wallsend Rising Sun Sports Ground. It incorporated the inter-area masters challenge and was very successful thanks to all the officials and marshals on the day.
NEMAA CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS 2023
The NEMAA Committee are presently considering offers from NE clubs to stage the event in 2023.
TRACK & FIELD.
The NEMAA Track & Field fixtures details at Monkton Stadium in 2022 are now available (see fixture list) The entry fee for the Track and Field League will be £5.00 per fixture.. (Please see Website and this Newsletter for new Track & Field Rules)

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL NEMAA MEMBERS.
NEMAA is affiliated to BMAF (the British Masters Athletics Association) and in order for NEMAA members to be able to enter BMAF , European and World Masters events they must be registered online with BMAF Open Track - and can only enter these events on line via BMAF Open Track. Paper entry forms are no longer acceptable.
If you are planning to enter future BMAF, European or World Masters events please ask NEMAA Membership Secretary George Routledge (NTMMNEVACSEC2013@hotmail.co.uk) to set up a BMAF profile for you. Please do not try to set up a profile of your own . BMAF OpenTrack can then be used directly by NEMAA members to enter BMAF , European and World Masters events and also manage their membership data.
Assistance to open competitors and fallback technical support will be provided by the BMAF support team Peter Kennedy/Alex Rowe via the email address memsec@bmaf.org.uk. Queries from NEMAA members who are having problems signing up should contact the NEMAA secretary .
Paper entry forms will however, still be acceptable for most other NEMAA Championships, events and subs renewals.

Our 2021 NEMAA AGM was held on Zoom on Monday 11th January 2021 at 7.00pm . The Committee offered a vote of thanks to outgoing Chair – Ron Stewart and Treasurer Bill Doidge for their dedicated work and service to the Association. Archie Jenkins was elected as Secretary ,George Routledge was elected as Chair , and Jon Archer as Treasurer for the ensuing year
