What a Champion(ship) day that was!

With a record (possibly, I still haven't checked!) number of entries for today's champs, it was always going to be a busy day - but despite some early delays, and huge entries in the field events, we managed to finish the day more or less on schedule, and hopefully you all had a fantastic day - the lovely weather certainly helped!

An unofficial Weights Pentathlon was also held - results for that can be seen at the bottom of this post. 

We'd like to thank all the officials who spent many hours on the field and track today, and without whom this event couldn't have taken place - special thanks to Lynne Marr for organising them all in the first place! We'd also like to thank Ron Stewart and Helen Morris for their hard work in giving out the medals today in somewhat breezy conditions! Almost forgot to mention the fab commentary by Sparrow Morley - thanks for that, definitely added to the atmosphere!
