As I'm sure the athletes of Jarrow and South Shields are very aware, they are very close to each other (and we're not talking about their proximity on the map), with the Grand Prix for the ladies still able to go either way on Monday.
In the individual categories, we have Andy Pattison and Anthony Liddle neck and neck in the M35 sprints, whilst Jackie Murdy (S Shields) and Linda Smith (Jarrow) have 1 point between them in the W55 middle distance category - will the arch rivalry for top GP position between the clubs spur the ladies on? We'll have to see on the night! Marie Bell and Lesley Charman are both tied for top position in the W45 jumps category, with both ladies consistently scoring 6 points in their respective events - can they both hang on and finish the season on a perfect set of scores and a tie? And of course, after all the excitement of the final match of the season, we have the RELAYS to look forward to - that bit at the end of the night that is organised chaos, but hopefully also good fun for everyone taking part. Look forward to seeing you all there, and hopefully there'll be medals to collect for the individual grand prix winners (I'm hoping to be able to finalise the scores on the night). Could the winners of last year's team prize please bring their trophies in so we can present the winning teams on the night, thank you!
