Hi, first of all, many thanks for your entry into this year's T&F Championships, we hope you will have an enjoyable day of competition. Please check the online start lists here to make sure I've entered your details correctly (because it's not unknown for me to make a mistake!) and let me know if you spot any issues or omissions. There are three sets of start lists - sprints for races up to 400m, distance for up to 5k and the walk/steeplechase events, and throws/jumps should be self explanatory! Apologies - timetable may be subject to delays due to the large numbers of entrantsI've attached a pdf of the timetable for the day (shown above) - this is only a guide, as we seem to have a record number of entries this year, so there may be some slight delays in start times, though we will of course endeavour to stick as closely as possible to the schedule. Anyone bringing their own throwing implement will need to get it weighed - this is usually done under the stand near the announcers box.
If you have any event clashes (e.g. jump or throw on at same time as a race), please ensure you register with the field official and let them know that you might have to leave to take part in your race - they will usually try and accommodate you as best they can, but you may find that you miss a round of competition. This can't be helped, and they are only following the rules if they say you can't re-enter the competition in a particular round, so please don't blame the official if you miss your throw/jump. I'm not sure if the cafe will be open so make sure you bring some food and drink with you if you are here for the duration! Remember to give yourself plenty of time to park (it'll be busy), and bring some change for the parking meter, as I think it's fixed now - would hate you to end up with a parking fine. Please don't park your car inconsiderately in the nearby housing estate - street parking is also available along either side of York Avenue (the dual carriageway just off the A194) and the short walk to the stadium will give you a nice warm up! For those of you who've competed in the league this season - DON'T FORGET YOUR NUMBER!!! For the rest of you, I'll have your numbers ready for you to collect - I'll be in the announcer's box from first thing in the morning. To avoid congestion in this area, could you only come to the box if you need a number. For everyone else, I will have sheets on the back wall with a list of names - could you please mark yourself as present when you arrive (I'll attach a nice big marker pen - just cross through your name). I'll be getting paper results produced as quickly as possible, with medals being presented shortly after each event. The results will also be appearing online almost immediately here - if you spot any issues, please inform me as soon as possible. I think that's about it, it just remains for me to wish you good luck, enjoy the day, and don't forget the following items:- Your bib number (if you have one) Pins Your shoes and club vest Money for parking Your smile (remember to have fun whilst competing!)
