We hope you all enjoyed your first outing in over a year at the T&F league last night! Aside from the weather, which unfortunately (and literally) just couldn't hold its water until we'd finished, the night seemed to go pretty well, and despite the restrictions that we had, I'm pleased to report that most of you seemed to enjoy the night. This isn't officially validated yet by our record keeper, but I think it needs to be highlighted that a new NEMAA member, Lawrence Cummings of Darlington, smashed the M80 record for 3,000m by more than 17 seconds, to romp home in 14:20.6 - amazing stuff, well done Lawrence! Additonally, our lovely Kath Stewart also set the track ablaze with new records in the 100m and the 400m for W80 - well done Kath, amazing! On the subject of records, I must apologise for the lack of updates in that department - this is entirely down to your T&F sec/webmaster not getting her finger out and getting them online, and not Jacqui Etherington who is doing a fab job of keeping the records updated! This will be rectified in the next few days, apologies. Entries for the next meeting will be opening shortly so keep your eyes open. If you bought a season pass, I will be emailing you with details of how to submit your next event choices, so don't worry that you haven't heard anything yet, it's in hand. Also, because of the last minute change of throws, there will be some changes to the upcoming timetable (TBC). Lastly, entries will also be opening shortly for our T&F Champs on the 19th June - we are confident that the cage problems will be rectified in time for the event, so we will be having a full line-up of events for you to choose from! PS I''m aware that the grand prix points aren't correct for the Long Jump competition - this will be rectified in a few days, apologies. A lovely video courtesy of Darren Towart
