British and Irish Masters Cross Country International selection 2021 This year there will be a trial race to select the England team for the International Cross Country which is to be held in Dublin on 13th November. Due to a fixtures clash, the trial race will now be held on 16th October at Markeaton Park, Keddleton Road, Derby DE22 4AA, and will be incorporated within the North Midlands cross country league fixture. Parking will be at Markeaton Island car park and the charge will be around £4 per car. Parking is a short distance from the course and nearest to the only available toilets. Race distances: All women and men aged 65 to 75plus – 6km. Men 35 to 64 – 9.8km. Start times: 6km 1.50pm, 9.8km 2.20pm approximately. The entry fee will be £5 per athlete (UKA registered athletes and Members of their Area Masters/Veterans club), entry is via the BMAF Open Track system only. No entries on the day. The closing date is Friday 24th September. The first 3 athletes from each 5 year age category in race 1 will be selected. The first 4 athletes in each 5 year age category in race 2 will be selected. The remaining team members, including reserves will be selected by the area selectors, immediately following the last race. All athletes will need to complete a selection form giving their details and performances for the current year, as well as an application form. This includes those racing in the trial race. You must also sign the GDPR agreement.
