The EAMA Inter area masters cross country challenge will unfortunately not go ahead on the 6th February 2021 which was due be incorporated within the NEMAA championships (details of a new date to follow, all NEMAA members should enter the NEMAA championships via our own website, once advertised). The north east may be under severe Covid- 19 restrictions so travel restrictions may apply.
The venue for the event was to be The Rising Sun Sports Ground, Kings Road North, Wallsend, Tyne and Wear, NE28 9JJ. Due to the very strict COVID 19 guidelines a new venue may be arranged and the course will be shorter than usual and consist of one 3k lap per participant. The provisional timetable will be; NEMAA short course cross country championships, Race 1, 11am Wave 1, W35/W40 Wave 2, W45/W50 Wave 3, W55/W60/W65 Race 2, 12.00 Wave 1, M35/M40 Wave 2 M45/M50 Race 3, 1pm Wave 1, M55/M60 Wave 2, M65+ EAMA Inter Area Challenge Race 4 2pm Arrive 13.15 Wave 1 Inter area women Wave2 Inter area men EAMA participants must enter individually via the open track system, £6 per head (Not NEMAA members). Each team will consist of a minimum of 6 runners. Scoring will be ranked by age grading percentages (age on the day of competition). However, NEMAA members should enter the NEMAA championships via the NEMAA website (will be advertised when available). Based on EA COVID guidelines of approximately 100 people per hour. Entries close one week in advance. Waves may have to be reconsidered. Team result, natural 10 year age groups, no down ageing allowed. Inter area finishing positions/times to be merged into NEMAA results. Strictly no spectators allowed, no warming up or down on the course and please disperse from the finish area immediately. In order to comply with COVID 19 guidelines athletes will need to adhere to the following. Arrive - declare - race - leave.
