So...the last match of the season, all done and dusted. We hope you all enjoyed yourselves tonight, particularly during the organised chaos of the relays! Regarding the relays, there was obviously some shuffling of teams between declarations and the actual races, so if you spot anything that needs changing (and this applies to the other results too) email the usual. The relay results can be found on our, along with the league results.
Huge thanks to our officials this season, coping with the massive numbers of athletes, and big thanks tonight to Micky Baker for getting those relay teams out there, mammoth task! Not forgetting of course the track team, the timekeepers, the starter, and all of the field officials - without all of these wonderful volunteers there wouldn't be a track and field league at all, so huge thanks to all of them! Thank you to the athletes who ran, jumped and threw with enthusiasm for this whole season - and of course we have to mention the achievement of the home team Jarrow and Hebburn, who came away with both male and female team Grand Prix awards this year. Individual awards can be collected at any NEMAA event, or we'll keep them safe for you until next time. It's been a great season, and we're already looking forward to next year! If you can't wait that long, remember we still have the NEMAA pentathlon on the 17th September, and our 5,000/10,000m track champs at the same event - full details on our track and field page.
