We have some exciting developments going on at NEMAA, and we're pleased to announce that we now have a fully functioning, easy to use online store that accepts credit and debit card payments via a secure checkout. You can now apply for, or renew your membership online, pay for race entries and enter the Track and Field League. There are other payment options available for the more traditionalists - you can still opt to pay by cash or cheque in person, or post a cheque to George, and we've even gone as 21st century as having a chip and pin card reader, so you can pay by card at league matches etc. (I'm looking at those of you who haven't renewed your subs!) Here's the link to the new store - we hope you like it, but any feedback (good or bad) will be gratefully received as we'd like to make it as user friendly as possible. Thanks!
Nine hardy dedicated NEMAA members made the long journey to Stormont Park, Belfast, to contest the 2019 BMAF Cross Country Championships on March 9th. They were blessed with surprisingly warm sunny weather and a 2 km lapped course with just one gentle climb along the grass verge of the grand Stormont Parliament driveway. Due the heavy rain in the previous night the course was very wet in places and soon cut up to become challenging in certain areas. Only 118 competitors competed in total and the following NEMAA members were rewarded for excellent performances:- 8 km Alastair Johnson Gosforth M45 - 1st Paul Merrison Sunderland H M60 - 4th 6 km Fiona Wilson Rich & Zetland W45 - 5th Kim Matthews Elswick H.
