First of all, you may have been eager beavers and noted down the dates of this year's league fixtures. If this is the case, could you please change the date of match 1 to its original date of Monday 19th May, as the stadium booking clash has been resolved by the ever helpful Monkton staff, big thanks to Sue and Claire.
In other news, to help cope with what is often a large pool of athletes, the high jump B is now limited to 7 attempts in total. Whether you clear the bar or fail twice before clearing a height, each attempt counts. For example, if your PB is 1.30, you'd be wasting attempts if you start in at 0.9m, as if you cleared all the heights in-between you will have used all 7 attempts before reaching your goal of 1.30. The season pass for our T&F League is once again an option this year, with six matches for the price of five. This is the link to purchase, and it's available until 5pm on the 16th May. Finally, it's not long now until entries close for our XC at Acklam Grange on 1st February. If you haven't got your entry in yet, do it now before you forget! This is an open competition, so invite your club mates who aren't NEMAA members to get their entries in too!

Thank you to those of you who've already renewed for 2025, this is much appreciated. If you signed up for invoice reminders, and you've then paid by bank transfer or cash rather than using the invoice to pay, you may get another reminder asking for payment - please disregard the reminder! The reminders are sent out automatically and we try and update them as paid once we know you've paid by other means, but there is a delay for many reasons (bank access, payment in person, etc.) and sometimes they go out before the update is made. However, we DO know you've paid, so please don't worry about the invoice (and you can call Val names if you want when you see her as it's her fault!)
If you don't want a reminder next year, feel free to email [email protected] and your reminder will be cancelled, thank you for your patience! Many NEMAA athletes have been invited to express interest in competing as part of a NEMAA inter-area indoor team at Lee Valley, London, but due to the fact that the BMAF Indoor Track & Field Championships are due to be held on the following weekend at the same Stadium - there was very very little interest to travel to the Inter Area match. Therefore NEMAA have reluctantly decided that we will not be sending a team to compete this year. |
