I would like to invite you apply to represent NEMAA in the annual Inter-Area Track & Field match on Sunday August 17th 2025
This year’s event will be held at the University of York Athletics Stadium, Heslington, York, YO10 5NA … conveniently close to home compared to previous years, making travel and logistics much easier.
For those unfamiliar with the competition, it is an annual team event contested by the nine Area Masters Associations. It covers a wide range of track and field disciplines for men and women across the following age groups: 35–49, 50–59, 60–69, and 70+.
All abilities are welcome.
While we aim to field the strongest available team based on season’s best performances, we encourage athletes of all levels to apply. Each association can enter one competitor per event per age group, but there are usually plenty of opportunities to get involved. Athletes may compete in multiple events and athletes may compete in a younger age group, but must remain in the same age group throughout the competition.
A NEMAA competition vest will be provided if you don’t already have one.
Successful applicants will be notified after the closing date.

Please note:- Not all events are held in certain age groups.(see attached provisional timetable below ) Sprints, distance, hurdles, throws, jumps, race walk and pole vault are included in selective age bands and a copy of the rules of competition at the bottom of the page.
